"If you don't vote, you will lose your security along with it!"

The Islamic Republic regime began its election campaign one day before the election with the slogan: "If you don't vote, you will lose your security!"

Over the past two months, regime agents, especially clerics, have been visiting Armenian leaders in churches in various cities and encouraging them to participate in the elections under the pretext of holding minority seats in parliament. Afghans living in Iran were also allowed to participate in the elections and vote.

Now, with less than a day left until the election, the regime has started advertising trucks with slogans such as: “If your vote wasn’t important, they wouldn’t have told you not to vote,” “Won’t you vote to improve your economic situation?” and “Believe me, you’ll lose your security if you do this.” However, it is unclear whether these slogans are intended to encourage people to vote or to threaten them that if they don’t vote, they will lose their security.

So far, the Islamic Republic has not hesitated to take any action to maintain its hold on the Iranian people and suppress them. In the past year, the world has witnessed the great crimes of the regime and its agents against the Iranian people, including infanticide, murder, rape, repression, torture, execution, etc. For this reason, the people who want to overthrow the regime boycotted participation in the elections and remained steadfast in their decision. Since the past month, various statements have been issued by political activists, civil society activists, artists, ordinary people, etc., expressing their opposition to the Islamic Republic and showing that participation in the elections is still boycotted by the people and they will not participate in it.
