Hossein Amir-Abdollahian condemned the actions of terrorists and the armed opposition in occupying Khan Toman, Syria, and said: "In recent negotiations with Russian officials, one of the issues of concern to Tehran and Moscow was investigating the factors behind the ceasefire violations." He added: The joint action of terrorists and irresponsible armed groups, falsely called the moderate opposition, in abusing the ceasefire in Syria proves that these groups, with foreign support, are seeking to continue military actions and have no belief in a political solution.
The Deputy Foreign Minister stated that we believe that the solution in Syria is purely political, adding: "Terrorists and armed groups associated with them must be condemned and suppressed by the international community to provide an opportunity for the advancement of a political solution."
