Civil activist Nader Afshari is detained "in the safe house of the Ministry of Intelligence"

Reports indicate that Nader Afshari, a civil activist who had disappeared in Karaj, has been arrested by the Ministry of Intelligence.

On Tuesday, August 7, Nader Afshari's mother told some news websites that after three days of searching, she learned that her son was in the custody of the Ministry of Intelligence.

The Ministry of Intelligence and security forces initially denied the arrest of Nader Afshari, but after six days it became clear that he had been arrested as a "rioter".

Ms. Afshari says her son is not a troublemaker, but rather a protester against the conditions, and his protest is completely legal.

The Ministry of Intelligence has told Ms. Afshari that her son is being held in a safe house.

Nader Afshari was arrested by the Ministry of Intelligence in February of last year on charges of propaganda against the regime. He spent some time in solitary confinement and was released on bail of 100 million.
