Reports of the "murder" of a political prisoner by two criminal prisoners in Tehran prison

According to reports in cyberspace and social networks, Alireza Shirmohammad Ali, a political prisoner in the Greater Tehran Prison (Fashafoyeh), was attacked by two criminal prisoners and lost his life. The Islamic Republic's judicial authorities have not yet provided any information on this matter.
According to reports published on social networks and cyberspace media, on Monday, June 10, "two criminal prisoners attacked Mr. Shir Mohammad Ali with a knife."
According to reports, the attackers struck Alireza Shir Mohammad Ali, causing severe injuries and wounds, and Mr. Shir Mohammad Ali died before reaching the hospital.
As the Human Rights Activists in Iran group reported before the trial of 21-year-old Alireza Shir Mohammad Ali, he was sentenced to 8 years in prison on charges of "insulting sacred places," "insulting the founder of the Islamic Republic," "insulting the leadership," and "propaganda against the system."
Mr. Shir Mohammad Ali's arrest dates back to late July of last year and was reportedly carried out in connection with his activities in cyberspace.
It is said that Shir Mohammad Ali and Barzan Mohammadi, other prisoners arrested during the August 2017 protests, had gone on a hunger strike due to the "lack of personal safety" in Fashafoyeh Prison and their opposition to the request to be transferred to Evin Prison.
The hunger strike ended in late April after receiving a "promise of help from the prosecutor's representative." However, it seems that there has been no significant change in the situation of these two prisoners in recent months, at least they have not been transferred to another prison.
The situation of prisoners, and specifically political prisoners, in Fashafoyeh Prison has repeatedly been accompanied by protests from domestic and foreign observers and the prisoners themselves.
Some of the prisoners themselves in Fashafoyeh have described the conditions there as "inhumane."
Nader Fatorechi, a journalist who was in Fashafoyeh, wrote in a report on the condition of the prisoners, "There is no one in Iran more helpless and oppressed than them. They are in the strictest sense of the word under inhuman conditions and experience double rejection that is beyond the human capacity to endure even for a day and a night."
Reports of attacks on political prisoners are not unprecedented in Fashafoyeh; for example, in September of last year, Human Rights Watch reported the "beating" of besieged Dervishes in that prison.
This is despite the fact that some domestic Iranian news agencies, such as Tasnim, had described this prison as a "camp or prison specifically for drug convicts" with "wards with all the facilities."
The Central Penitentiary of Greater Tehran, or Fashafoyeh Prison, is located 32 kilometers south of Tehran.
Iranian judicial authorities have not yet responded to reports of Alireza Shirmohammad Ali's "killing."
