A member of parliament: 231 million tomans were deposited into my account in the first month

Hossein Jalali, a representative of Rafsanjan and Anar in the Islamic Consultative Assembly, has said that 231 million Tomans were deposited into his account in the first month of his presence in the assembly.

According to IRNA, Mr. Jalali said that of this amount, 11 million tomans is related to agency fees and he received 200 million tomans for housing.

The representative said that 20 million tomans were also deposited into his account for "other expenses," but did not mention the details of these expenses.

The salaries of members of parliament were announced as six million tomans in 2017, but over the course of three years, they have increased by five million tomans to 11 million tomans.
