Arrest of ‘Farrough Khosravi’ Teacher in Behbahan Education System

“Farrough Khosravi,” a teacher in the Behbahan education system, was arrested by IRGC Intelligence forces.
According to reports published on social media, on Tuesday, Mordad 7, IRGC Intelligence forces raided the personal residence of Farrough Khosravi, a Lur citizen and teacher in the Behbahan education system in Khuzestan Province, and transferred her to an unknown location after arrest.
According to informed sources close to Farrough Khosravi, IRGC Intelligence forces arrested her without presenting any court order, using only violence and assault. Ms. Khosravi holds a doctorate in education and has a teaching background in the education system. She was dismissed from Payame Noor University in Bandar Imam following protests in 2009.
According to reports from the Telegram channel of the “Coordinating Council of Iran’s Teachers’ Professional Organizations,” on Khordad 30 of the current year, six IRGC Intelligence officers, accompanied by two female officers, entered Farrough Khosravi’s residence without presenting a court order. After searching her home, they confiscated her mobile phone and some of her personal belongings, which caused fear and terror in her family’s household.
Following the raid without a court order and the search of her residence, Ms. Khosravi filed a complaint against the officers; however, “Rouhollah Farzadnasab,” the prosecutor of Branch 2 of Behbahan’s Public Court, issued a no-prosecution order exonerating the officers.
It should be noted that as of the time this report was prepared, no information was available regarding the reasons for Farrough Khosravi’s arrest, the charges against her, or even her place of detention. The Islamic Republic regime has repeatedly arrested ordinary citizens of any minority or ethnicity on frivolous charges such as “action against national security,” “propaganda against the system,” or “promoting Zionist Christianity,” transferring them to unknown locations for extended periods, and subsequently sending them to court and prison on these same frivolous charges. Additionally, they have been sentenced to heavy fines, deprivation of social rights, and bans on leaving the country.
