Sudden Drought: 8,000-Year-Old Spring, Legacy of the Parthian Era, Dried Up

FCN News Section Reports:
Cheshmeh Ali is considered one of the ancient, scenic and recreational sites of Shahr-e Rey, located south of Tehran and north of Shahr-e Rey, in District 20 of Tehran Municipality. This spring is located in the vicinity of Ibn Babuyeh, Tughrul Tower, Dejkhan Castle and under the ancient city of Rey. Cheshmeh Ali springs from a large rock formation and flows toward the south and then southeast. The ancient name of this spring was Sorini, which was probably attributed to a major dynasty during the Parthian and Sassanid periods. Later it became known as Cheshmeh Ali, named after the first Imam of the Shias, Ali.
It made the color brighter and more lustrous, in the waters of Cheshmeh Ali they washed. But currently this is prohibited.
However, now after approximately eight thousand years have passed since the antiquity of Cheshmeh Ali in the city of Rey, “Amir Maseeb Rahimzadeh,” Head of the Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Representative Office of Shahr-e Rey, says:
The water flow in the area is low. Although water due to groundwater extraction and the creation of agricultural wells by people has gradually decreased everywhere, at Cheshmeh Ali in the city of Rey we suddenly discovered that the water in this historic natural area has dried up.
What is certain is that we must lose hope in the power and wisdom of state officials because their imamzadehs neither cure blindness nor bring healing! And ultimately we must rely on collective effort and endeavor to neutralize the harmful effects of this problem as much as possible. Although some officials are trying to define this ominous phenomenon as an unexpected crisis, the fact is that for more than a decade, environmental activists have continuously warned of the possibility and likelihood of drought and the danger of reduced rainfall. But our officials have always prevented these warnings from being heard through their own justifications, and each official sought to hand over their position to the next manager with all the problems and difficulties of their domain, and thus the problem continued until today….
The curses and damnation of others and ingratitude have grasped our own collar…. Successive droughts in Iran have reached a point where we are witnessing the sudden and abrupt drying of underground resources and pristine nature. Wishing ill for others, a judgmental gaze toward others, has grasped our own collar.
And finally, believers in Jesus Christ, let us pray for Iran and Iranians. Because faith in Christ and receiving His infinite blessings is the only way to human salvation.
Infinite gratitude to Almighty God, Jesus Christ, whose beautiful gaze is always with His children.
