A 5.2 magnitude earthquake shook Quchan

An earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale shook Quchan in Khorasan Razavi Province on Monday morning, September 12.

According to the country's Seismological Organization, the earthquake occurred at 8:32:30 local time and at a depth of 6 kilometers.

The strength of this earthquake was so strong that it was felt by citizens of Mashhad, Neyshabur, Dargaz, and Bojnourd.

So far, no reports of casualties or financial losses have been published from this earthquake, but according to Mehr News Agency, minor damage has been caused to old and rural houses in the city, and ten assessment teams have been activated in the earthquake-stricken areas of Quchan and Dargaz.

Quchan is a city in Khorasan Razavi Province and is located 120 kilometers northwest of Mashhad.
