14-Year-Old Masoumeh Lost Her Life Following Assault in Prison

Masoumeh, a 14-year-old girl who removed her hijab at school as a sign of protest, died after being arrested and sexually assaulted in prison.
Sexual assaults against men, women, and even children in Islamic Republic prisons have reached a peak in recent days of protest. Crimes that cannot be justified anywhere in the world.
According to the New York Times news agency, which reported to the “Iran Human Rights Campaign,” 14-year-old Masoumeh lived in one of Tehran’s poor neighborhoods and removed her hijab at school as a sign of protest. She was arrested after being identified by school security cameras.
Immediately after her arrest, Masoumeh was transferred to a hospital due to severe vaginal trauma, where she died.
News published on social media about this crime of the Islamic government shows that Masoumeh’s mother disappeared after exposing the sexual assault of her daughter by security forces.
In the past, several victims of sexual violence had told CNN that in some cases, police and security forces took photos and videos of them during the assault to force them into silence.
Should the Islamic Republic regime, which does not refrain from killing, oppression, assault, and beating its own people and even children to maintain its rule, not be tried in international courts? When will justice be served for all these crimes?
