A Bond of 750 Million Tomans Set for Temporary Release of Ismail Bakhshi

Following reports about the possibility of temporary release of labor activist Ismail Bakhshi, his lawyer announced that a bond of 750 million tomans has been set for his client’s release, and he will be freed after completing administrative procedures.

Farzaneh Zilebi said on Sunday, November 5, that initially a bond of 1 billion and 500 million tomans was considered for her client, but ultimately the bond amount was reduced to 750 million tomans.

According to this lawyer, Ismail Bakhshi will be released upon providing a bond of 750 million tomans.

The exact time of this labor activist’s release has not been announced.

Ismail Bakhshi has been sentenced to 14 years in prison in the Haft Tappeh protests case, and will be temporarily released if the requested bond is approved.

On Saturday, November 4, six labor and civil activists including Sepideh Gholian, Marzieh Amiri, Amirhossein Amiri, and Atefeh Rangriz were temporarily released on bail.

Sepideh Gholian’s lawyer announced on Sunday that the bail amount for his client’s release is 500 million tomans.

The United States has repeatedly condemned Iran’s security approach toward various segments of the population in Iran, including workers and women. The U.S. State Department previously stated in a message that the Islamic Republic regime could have paid workers’ wages in Iran with the expenses it has incurred in Syria.
