American Bible Association Reports Life-Changing Impact of Scripture Study on U.S. Youth

The American Bible Association reported on the life-changing impact of Bible study on young Americans in a recent survey.
The American Bible Association, in its 2024 report, revealed the impact of the Bible on young people’s lives and the changes it brings about, based on a survey.
According to “Christian Today,” the survey involved more than 2,500 American citizens from various backgrounds and age groups. In response to the question “Has studying the Bible changed your life or not,” 58 percent of participants reported that Bible study has had a remarkable impact on their lives.
The survey was conducted in January of this year and shows a one percent increase compared to last year’s statistics. Among Generation Z members, born between 1997 and 2012, 54 percent stated in the survey that the Bible has changed their lives, compared to 50 percent of young people from this generation last year.
Generation Z is a generation born in the age of technology and amid unusual and challenging global economic conditions, and they are heavily dependent on the use of technology, to the point that life without it becomes impossible for them. John Farquhar Plake, communications director of the American Bible Association, commented on this survey: “Our young people are interested in the Bible and allow God’s word to change their lives. If this trend continues, we can have hope for a better future for this generation.”
Furthermore, in the aforementioned research, 69 percent of those born between 1946 and 1964 also stated that continuous Bible reading has had a transformative impact on their lives, which represents an increase compared to last year when 64 percent held this view.
