Donald Trump: Two Options for Iran, One of Which Is Not a Good Option at All

Donald Trump announced two options regarding Iran as a result of negotiations at a press conference, saying that one of the options is not good at all.
Donald Trump, the President of the United States, announced Washington’s efforts to reach a nuclear agreement with Iran at a joint press conference with Norway’s Prime Minister yesterday, which was held at the White House. He viewed the progress of negotiations with the Islamic Republic positively but also mentioned another option.
Regarding the outcome of negotiations so far, Trump said: “I think we are in a good position on the path to an agreement with Iran, this process is going well and a lot of work is being done. There are only two options, only one of them is following its path well and we might arrive at a very, very good decision and many lives will be saved. But one of them is not a good option at all, not at all.”
Donald Trump, while emphasizing that any agreement must be ten times more verifiable, added: “If the agreement is properly arranged, one can be assured that Iran will not acquire nuclear weapons.”
Marco Rubio, the U.S. Secretary of State, also stated at this conference: “No political leader in the world has made efforts to stop war like Trump, and that is why we are in dialogue with Iran.”
Iran and the United States have agreed in the aforementioned negotiations to begin technical discussions for designing a new nuclear agreement framework, but Iran continues to emphasize its nuclear program and is seeking the lifting of sanctions in exchange for nuclear limitations. The next round of negotiations will be held on Saturday, April 26, in Oman with further meetings to be held for assessment.
