Genetic Solidarity of Iranians

Lifeandme published a post on its page that demonstrates the genetic solidarity of Iranians. This post contains excerpts from the results of research by scientists, for which an article also exists.

For about three months now, we have witnessed nationwide protests across Iran. We have also witnessed great unity and solidarity among Iranians, regardless of any ethnicity. A unity and solidarity that everyone previously thought did not exist and believed that the Iranian people were separatists, but today this unity and solidarity has astonished the entire world.

The aforementioned research is as follows:

Based on the results of the latest research findings from a joint project among scientists from universities in Germany, Iran, and Australia, it shows that from a biological perspective, all Iranian ethnicities, despite differences in language, religion, and culture, have very similar genetic origins to one another. This article, published in the reputable journal PLOS Genetics, states: Kurds, Baluch, Arabs, Lurs, Turks, Persians, and others all had common ancestors in present-day Iran and over time either borrowed different languages and cultures or invented them themselves. What is even more interesting is that due to high genetic intermixture and very close genetic origins, Iranian ethnic groups cannot be considered separate from one another. Perhaps these days, more than any other time, we can understand the meaning of this research. Perhaps we can find the reason for this beautiful solidarity and closeness of our hearts in our genetic codes.

We are people who may be separated by hundreds of kilometers from one another, yet we feel such closeness that it is as if we are part of one family and permanent sharers of each other’s sorrows and joys. Yes! One family, an Iranian family.

We respect the different ethnicities of our land and take pride in the unity, integrity, and compassion among us.
