Regime’s Fear of Revolutionary Songs During Muharram Days

The people of Yazd struck great fear into the regime’s heart by singing revolutionary songs during the days of Muharram.

After ten days into the month of Muharram, protesting people demonstrated their opposition to the regime and its performance by gathering in streets and singing revolutionary songs.

People in various cities sang revolutionary songs to commemorate the martyrs of the freedom movement. Furthermore, the joint singing of the song “From the blood of our nation’s youth, tulips have bloomed” by the Yazd delegation during the commemoration of freedom martyrs gained widespread resonance on virtual networks, causing alarm among regime officials.

It should be noted that yesterday, on Ashura, security officials appeared at religious gathering places and by threatening preachers and ceremony leaders, prevented the singing of revolutionary songs. In some areas, people were beaten and dispersed.

In some areas, people wore white clothing instead of black to religious ceremonies and sang revolutionary songs to commemorate martyrs of nationwide protests. People also set many flags ablaze in some other areas and prevented Husseini mourning rituals.
