White House National Security Advisor: President Trump Has Made Clear He Will Not Allow Iran to Acquire Nuclear Weapons

The White House National Security Advisor announced that President Trump, in stating his position on the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program, has made clear that he will not allow Iran to acquire nuclear weapons.
Robert O’Brien, speaking Tuesday evening on February 11th local time at the Atlantic Council think tank in Washington D.C., in response to a journalist’s question about Iran’s non-compliance with its commitments in the nuclear agreement, said that President Trump has made his position completely clear regarding Iran’s nuclear program, stating that as long as I am in the office of the presidency, Iran will not acquire nuclear weapons.
President Trump’s National Security Advisor also said that the President of the United States has tasked him with the responsibility of bringing home Americans held hostage in other countries, including Iran, and he is utilizing all the country’s capabilities to return Americans to the embrace of their families.
Robert O’Brien, stating that the return of Xiyue Wang, an American student who was imprisoned in Iran, was a source of great satisfaction, said he is striving to bring all Americans imprisoned in Iran back to their families in America.
He also addressed the situation of the coronavirus outbreak, stating that very serious and difficult circumstances have emerged, and said that the United States has proposed to the Chinese government to utilize American specialists and doctors, which they have not yet accepted.
He emphasized: We still do not have accurate and correct information about what the origin and spread of the virus is.
This White House official further expressed hope that U.S.-North Korea negotiations regarding North Korea’s nuclear disarmament and the lifting of its sanctions would resume.
According to him, the negotiations in the two previous rounds were very successful because they led to a reduction in tensions between the two countries, and he added that he hopes negotiations will resume again with the North Korean leader’s commitment to nuclear disarmament.
