According to reports, Nazanin Zaghari, a British-Iranian citizen who had traveled to Iran with her newborn daughter, was arrested while leaving Iran last month and is in prison.
The HRANA website, the BBC Persian service, and the Facebook page of Sneaky Freedoms in Iran published the news, stating that Ms. Zaghari was arrested at Tehran Airport on April 5 of this year.
These news sources say that the Revolutionary Guards took Nazanin Zaghari to an unknown location in Kerman Province after arresting her at Tehran Airport.
According to reports, and according to Ms. Zaghari's family, she complained of being under pressure and said she was asked to sign papers.
Judicial authorities or the Ministry of Intelligence and the Revolutionary Guard have not yet released any news in this regard, and it is not clear on what charges Nazanin Zaghari was arrested and imprisoned.
Nazanin Zaghari, who has an English husband and is referred to in some news reports by her full name and surname Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe, is 37 years old and worked as a project manager at the Thompson Reuters Foundation. She has been working at the institution since 2011.
Ms. Nazanin Zaghari began her public relations activities in 2004 with the International Red Cross in London, and then worked in the same position with the World Health Organization for three years.
