Many Iranian families have reduced or eliminated their consumption of red and white meat, eggs, and dairy products.

Research results from the Institute of Nutritional Research and Food Industries indicate that many families in Iran have drastically reduced their consumption of red and white meat, eggs, and dairy products or have eliminated them from their diet.

The institute's research was conducted in the first three months of this year and includes more than 22,000 urban and rural households.

Previously, the Iranian Student Opinion Polling Center, ISPA, reported on August 3, based on the results of a survey, that more than eight percent of Iranian households did not consume red meat in 2019.

According to the survey, more than 14 percent had consumed red meat only a few times in the past year.

In recent years, the prices of goods and consumables in Iran have increased sharply.
