According to HRANA news agency, citing Kolbar News, on Tuesday, June 10, 2022, a Kolbar was injured by direct fire from military forces in the border areas of Sardasht.
The identity of these kolbars is “Rasool Rahman”, 26, from the village of “Shaniyeh” in the “Qala’dze” district of the Kurdistan Region. He is married and has a daughter.
According to the report, the kolbar was seriously injured in his arms and legs and is currently receiving medical treatment and care in the hospital.
Kolbari is a false and arduous job that people in border areas turn to due to a lack of job opportunities, and dozens of people are killed or injured every year in the face of natural hazards or as a result of shooting by border guards.
Part of the annual report on the human rights situation in Iran, specifically for 2021, focuses on citizens who have been killed or injured by military organs.
In addition to material damages, the killing of pack animals, and accidents including frostbite and avalanches, this report records the killing of 23 kolbars (border porters) and the injury of 81 others by border and law enforcement forces.
It should be noted that 28 other Kolbars also suffered accidents due to climatic and geographical conditions, such as frostbite and falls from heights, of which 16 Kolbars were injured and 12 Kolbars died.
