UN: 150,000 Ukrainian refugees have entered neighboring countries

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees says that 150,000 Ukrainian refugees have already entered neighboring countries.

Filippo Grandi announced in a tweet on Saturday, March 28, that half of the refugees had entered Poland and the rest had gone to Moldova, Romania, and Hungary.

Kelly Clement, Deputy High Commissioner for Refugees of the United Nations, also told CNN that according to available information, about 850,000 people have also been displaced within the country, and the number of war refugees is expected to exceed 4 million.

At the same time, the Polish government announced that more than 100,000 Ukrainian refugees had entered the country due to Russia's military invasion.

The Polish Prime Minister's Office also announced in a tweet that a train has been allocated to help Ukrainian refugees, which will travel from the Polish border city of Przemyśl to the city of Lviv in western Ukraine.

The statement says that the train will also provide first aid to the injured.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense has also said that it has set up a special hotline to help those who have lost loved ones during the Russian attack or are looking for contact.

The statement said the hotline would help families whose loved ones were killed in the fighting or captured by Russian forces. With the special hotline, Ukrainians can receive information about the condition of their relatives and family members, or leave messages for those who have disappeared or cannot be reached.

Russia's massive attacks on Ukrainian territory began on Thursday morning. The United States, the European Union, Japan, South Korea, Australia and Canada have imposed sanctions on the country in response to the Russian invasion.
