Iran Air plane catches fire while landing in Mehrabad

On Tuesday evening, an Iran Air passenger plane with about 100 passengers on board caught fire while landing at Tehran's Mehrabad Airport.

Peyman Sabrian, head of the country's emergency services, said of the incident: "After we were informed that, unfortunately, due to a technical malfunction at one of the airports, a plane had encountered problems during landing, our forces were immediately dispatched to the scene with 2 ambulance buses and 10 ambulances."

He added: "Fortunately, after the plane ran out of fuel and ran out of fuel, they sprayed the ground with foam and the plane landed safely, and there were no injuries in the incident; now all the people on the plane have been evacuated."

According to the spokesperson for the country's emergency services, the incident occurred at 9:00 PM tonight and 10 ambulances were dispatched to the scene.

Tasnim reported that the plane was a Fokker and landed without wheels.
