The precarious condition of the world's smallest church in the village of Sorkh Abad, Savadkooh

Sorkh Abad Church is located opposite Sorkh Abad Railway Station, next to the main road, 2 km from the Veresk Bridge, on the railway tunnel.

According to FCNN, this church was built in 1934 as a place of worship for the railway workers, who were Italian and German Christian engineers who had come to Savadkouh to build the railway.

There is an inscription in Italian on the door of this church. The length and width of this church are 3 x 3 and have an entrance door and 2 windows, one on the east side and the other on the north side.

This church is made of brick and plaster, and the bottom of the building is thatched and has a galvanized iron roof. The floor of this church is cement and its walls are covered with white cement. The Surkh Abad church has been destroyed over time, but with the efforts of the locals, it was saved from the danger of destruction, but now it is on the verge of destruction.

In previous years, it was the site of an animal manger until it was registered on the National Register. Unfortunately, the church's signboard has been removed, the door is locked, and the key has been indefinitely removed by the authorities, while it could be a useful historical site for attracting tourists.
