80% of flood victims in Sistan and Baluchestan deprived of clean water

The representative of the Deputy Nursing Office of the Ministry of Health, Treatment and Medical Education said: "The problems of the flood-affected people are very many. One of the problems of the people of this province is the low access to safe drinking water. According to statistics, about 23 percent of the people in the areas currently affected by the floods have access to safe drinking water." But in general, providing safe drinking water even in normal times is difficult for many people in this region.
He continued: "The extent of the damage in the flooded areas is very large. In normal conditions and before the flood, water was stored and consumed in water reservoirs in many villages, but now, due to the flood, many water reservoirs have been destroyed. Flooded people are worried and complain about the lack of safe and sufficient drinking water; they are unable to bathe."
