Amnesty International: The human rights situation in Iran has reached a critical point

Amnesty International considered the Iranian government's arbitrary arrest of human rights lawyers and women's rights activists in Iran as a sign of intensifying repression of civil society.
According to this international human rights organization, such measures have placed civil society and human rights defenders in Iran in a complete atmosphere of suffocation and fear.
The organization adds that the human rights situation in Iran has reached a critical point.
The report refers to the arrest of women's rights activist Hoda Amid, Payam Darfashan, Farrokh Forouzan, and Arash Keykhosravi, human rights lawyers, and states that the IRGC Intelligence Unit has arrested women's rights activist Najmeh Vahedi at her home in Tehran.
Amnesty International has considered the goal of these efforts to silence the voices of human rights activists in Iran.
