Armed Forces of the Regime Forced to Retreat Before Protesting People in Zahedan

The armed forces of the Islamic Republic system were forced to retreat in the face of protesting people in Zahedan.
Today, Friday, corresponding to the 7th of Mehr in the year 1402, one day before the anniversary of Bloody Friday in Zahedan, the Baloch people, following Friday prayers as in previous weeks, took to the streets and, with protest slogans against the Islamic Republic system, rose to demand justice for the blood of their loved ones shed on that day.
The people of Zahedan, disregarding the security situation and despite intense gunfire from the regime’s security forces, unarmed and carrying only stones, confronted and defended themselves against the regime’s forces. They demonstrated such unity that the heavily armed security forces were forced to retreat.
According to popular reports, the security forces opened fire on the people as they did last year, but the people, regardless of the extensive gunfire and the wounding of many, continue to be in the streets. Furthermore, more than 10 cities in Sistan and Baluchestan province have taken to the streets and seized control of the cities. The people of Baluchestan declared in these protests: Witness a great Friday across Sistan and Baluchestan; today Sistan and Baluchestan are in our hands; we will give our lives but will never surrender our land to the enemy.
In many provinces across Iran, through coordinations organized by the people, all rose up in squares and main streets to show support for Sistan and Baluchestan.
