Iran’s Army Khark Vessel Sinks Following Fire

The Iranian Army Navy’s support training vessel caught fire in the Jask maritime area. All personnel on the vessel were transferred to shore, but efforts to save the Khark vessel proved unsuccessful and the vessel sank.
The Public Relations of Jask Second Naval Zone announced on Wednesday, June 12 (June 2) that the support training vessel Khark caught fire.
The cause of this fire is still unknown. All personnel on the vessel were safely transferred to shore, but efforts to extinguish the fire proved unsuccessful and the Khark vessel sank.
The vessel had set out for an educational sailing mission a few days earlier and on Wednesday, June 12, after 20 hours of fire in the waters of the Jask region, it sank. This vessel had been in the possession of the Iranian Army for 40 years.
