King Salman Tells Khamenei: Accept Trump’s Proposal to Prevent War

King Salman of Saudi Arabia told Khamenei: “Accept Trump’s proposal to prevent war with Israel.”

According to Reuters reports on Friday, May 30, the 89-year-old King Salman bin Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia, expressing concern about regional instability, sent his son Prince Khalid bin Salman to Tehran with an urgent message addressed to Ali Khamenei.

Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Defense met on April 17 with Masoud Pezeshkian, the President of Iran, Abbas Araghchi, the Foreign Minister, and Mohammad Bagheri, the Commander of the Joint Chiefs of Staff at the presidential office. During this meeting, while emphasizing the importance of reaching an agreement with America, he stated that this agreement is better than allowing negotiations to fail and exposing the Islamic Republic to Israeli attacks.

Khalid bin Salman also warned about the negotiations, saying that Trump does not have much patience for prolonged talks, and conveyed his father King Salman’s message to Ali Khamenei, stating that “the current opportunity could prevent the danger of war with Israel.”

Masoud Pezeshkian also announced: “The Islamic Republic seeks an agreement to reduce economic pressure through the lifting of Western sanctions.”
