Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force claims: Only aerial shots were fired | Two killed, four injured

Following Saturday's clash in Mahmudabad, Mazandaran, which left two dead and four injured, Islamic Republic military officials deny any shooting at people, saying the people were killed by "aerial gunfire" and that their deaths were "accidental."
The Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force claimed in its statement that the landowners provoked the people.
According to a final court ruling, part of the land of the army air base on the outskirts of the village of Bishekola in the Sorkhroud district of Mahmoudabad city should have been released for the benefit of the residents of the area. The clash occurred on Saturday, August 10, in Mahmoudabad, Mazandaran when, according to IRNA, officers of the army air base in the area opened fire on people and officers who were trying to execute the final ruling of the Mazandaran judicial system.
Although the army claimed that it only fired shots in the air, Islamic Republic officials say that several officers at the army air base were arrested.
