The dollar rose above ten thousand tomans once again.

Just a few days after the announcement of Hassan Rouhani's government's new currency policies, on Thursday, August 8, the price of the US dollar in Iran's unofficial market once again rose above ten thousand tomans.
Unofficial reports from Iran's free foreign exchange market indicate severe fluctuations, especially in the dollar price.
The price of the US dollar reached about 10,600 Tomans on Thursday, and dropped to 10,500 Tomans an hour later.
Hassan Rouhani's government announced its new foreign exchange policies mid-week, aimed at combating the rampant inflation of foreign currencies.
The main basis of these policies is the formation of a secondary currency market.
However, on Thursday, websites that record foreign currency prices in Iran's unofficial market reported that the price of the US dollar in Tehran had again reached five digits.
Accordingly, in the early hours of Thursday afternoon, the selling price of the dollar is 10,650 Tomans and the selling price of the euro is 12,300 Tomans.
On Wednesday, August 7, the price of the dollar and the coin was lower than the previous day, but, according to ISNA, "the closer it got to noon, the more noticeable the price increase in the market was, and eventually the dollar reached 9,700 tomans, the euro reached 11,200, and the Bahar Azadi coin reached 3,450,000 tomans."
Currently, the price of the "Emami" coin is four million tomans.
Meanwhile, some sites and channels that track free market prices reported on Wednesday evening that the US dollar had reached ten thousand tomans.
