Tom McClintock: We will see the collapse of the Iranian regime next year

Republican US Congressman Tom McClintock announced the collapse of the Iranian regime within the next year.
Republican Congressman Tom McClintock, in response to a reporter's question about "what should be the first thing they can do with the Islamic Republic when the Trump administration takes office on January 20?", said: "Maximum pressure on the regime, and it should start by implementing sanctions that the current US administration allowed to become ineffective."
"I think that with the collapse of the dictatorship in Syria, which was the intention of Hezbollah and the Israeli government to properly use the available resources to neutralize the elements of the dictatorship of the Islamic Republic, everyone is on the path to the collapse of that regime. I know that the Iranian people are in the last days of their tolerance that these thugs are constantly giving them orders, and I think that in the next year we will witness the collapse of that regime and the power will pass to the Iranian people."
The reporter, while referring to the maximum pressure that Trump had applied against Iran in the past, emphasized that at that time there was neither a war between Russia and Ukraine nor Israel at war, asked McClintock if Trump could restore this policy as is or if it needs to be updated, what should be done? McClintock added: "As I said, I think the Iranian regime is still the same on the outside, but it is completely rotten on the inside and is waiting for the first serious wind to fall apart. I think things are going in this direction and there will be a blow in the next year that will end this regime."
The reporter also emphasized that the efforts of women and girls in Iran to enjoy civil rights continue, and asked: "What would be the best foreign policy for the US government in response to this effort by the Iranian people?"
Tom McClintock continued in response to this question: “I repeat, maximum pressure on the regime. I think we should provide material support to the opposition inside Iran. At one time we gave a lot of cash to the ruling mullahs, maybe it’s time to give the money to the Iranian opposition so they can overthrow their oppressors.”
