Eight killed, 16 injured in bus-trailer collision on Qom-Kashan road

An official from the Isfahan Province Red Crescent Organization announced that eight people were killed and 16 others were injured in a bus-trailer collision on the Kashan-Qom axis.
According to Dariush Karimi, deputy director of relief and rescue operations for the Isfahan Red Crescent, the head-on collision occurred at 3:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 6.
The passengers of this bus were traveling from Dehdasht to Tehran, and the accident occurred at kilometer 10 of the Kashan-Qom route.
As Mr. Karimi recounted, it took more than two hours to provide aid to the injured.
On December 12, one person was killed and 17 others were injured when a passenger bus overturned in Kerman.
According to traffic police officials, more than 8,200 people have died in road accidents in Iran in the first seven months of this year.
The Iranian Traffic Police cite human factors, road problems, and vehicle technical defects as the most important causes of road fatalities in the country, in that order.
