Ali Khamenei: Fighting corruption is the strength of the Islamic Republic

On the anniversary of the birth of Hazrat Fatima Zahra, Ali Khamenei spoke about the Islamic Republic's strength, which is the fight against corruption.
This morning, Wednesday, January 13, coinciding with the birth anniversary of Hazrat Fatima Zahra, Ali Khamenei met with a group of Ahlul Bayt (a family of the Prophet) admirers at Imam Khomeini's Husseiniyeh. In this meeting, he congratulated Hazrat Fatima on her birthday, congratulated Imam Khomeini on his birth as the standard-bearer of the Fatimid Jihad, and honored the memory of General Qassem Soleimani.
Ali Khamenei considered "Jihad of Explanation" one of Fatima Zahra's most outstanding characteristics and referred to her sermons, saying: "The intellectual organization, strong logic, strength of words, exquisite language, and literary beauty of Hazrat Siddiqah Kubra's sermons, full of knowledge and truths, are on par with the best sermons in Nahjal-Balagha, which have astonished the great scholars of rhetoric."
Ali Khamenei pointed to the continuation of the tradition of Jihad of Explanation in the language of the pure Imams and the sermons of the Ahl al-Bayt and the poems of Arabic-speaking poets, and continued: "In continuing this path in our era, Imam Khomeini raised the banner of Jihad of Explanation and, through language, logic, and rousing the nation, abolished the corrupt and shameful government of the hereditary monarchical dictatorship and established a popular and Islamic government. This historical event reveals the unparalleled importance and potential of Jihad of Explanation."
He also considered the upcoming elections an important arena for the Jihad of Explanation and emphasized the necessity of the people's presence and their role in the elections, adding: "Some want the elections and the people's presence, which are proof of the realization of religious democracy, to be weak and inappropriate so that the words and ideas of the great Imam and the divine promise become false. In the face of this hostile movement, the Mujahideen of Explanation must stand by stating the truth and fulfill their duty. Elections are a duty and anyone who opposes the elections has opposed the Islamic Republic and Islam."
Ali Khamenei considered turning the system's strengths into weaknesses to be one of the tricks of Iran's ill-wishers to make people pessimistic about the system and despair about the future, and said: "One of the strengths of the Islamic system is the fight against corruption, but as soon as corruption appears somewhere and the government, judicial officials, and other sectors confront it, some say there is corruption. Yes, there is corruption, but the weakness is tolerating corruption and helping it, and fighting corruption is the strength."
At the end of his speech, he considered the Iranian nation to be lovers of independence, progress, and national dignity, and disgusted with the boasting of the Americans and their following, and stated: "The reason why the people stand by the Islamic Republic is their interest in these values. This path is the path of God, and no power is capable of pushing the people back from moving on it."
