400 Tons of Medicine and 88 Ambulances Prepared for Arbaeen Ceremony

The Islamic Republic system has prepared 88 ambulances and 400 tons of medicine for the Arbaeen ceremony in 1402.

With the approach of the Arbaeen ceremony and travelers heading to Iraq to participate in this event, the government has made preparations for the ceremony over the past several months.

In recent months, “Mohammad Esmail Tokali,” head of the Tehran Province Emergency Center, stated regarding the condition of ambulances that the state of Tehran’s emergency services is not good at all and we are seriously facing a shortage of ambulance fleets. However, the government, ignoring this problem, is sending a number of ambulances to Iraq for the Arbaeen ceremony.

“Pirouz Hanachi,” head of the Red Crescent Society, also announced, disregarding the ambulance fleet shortage, that 88 ambulances and ambulance buses, rescue vehicles, and 400 tons of medicine will be sent to Iraq for the Arbaeen ceremony.

The system’s generosity in sending 400 tons of medicine and ambulances to Iraq for the Arbaeen ceremony comes at a time when many Iranians face medicine shortages, and some purchase medicines at very high prices.

The medicines currently being sent for travelers heading to Iraq are unavailable to the Iranian people, and those who protest medicine shortages are told that we are under sanctions. This government claim exists while no country faces sanctions regarding access to medicine. Rather, the government is hoarding them to send to other countries in case of necessity.

Many Iranians who awoke from negligence after the nationwide revolutionary uprising and felt the tyranny and oppression of the system with their own flesh and blood, expressed their protest against the system at Ashura ceremonies with revolutionary slogans and denied mourning for an event that occurred 1400 years ago. The Iranian people also announced they will not participate in the Arbaeen ceremony and will only take to the streets to seek justice for the blood shed by the system.
