Arrest of University of Art Students

A number of students from the University of Art were arrested by plainclothes forces.

Today, Saturday, the 27th of Khordad, several students from the University of Art were arrested by plainclothes forces in front of the National Garden campus and transferred to an unknown location by an unmarked van.

The identity of one of the detainees has been confirmed as “Maaedeh Adamimokri,” a Kurdish citizen from Mahabad and an art student at the University of Tehran.

To date, no information is available regarding the reason for the arrest, the fate of the detained students, or their place of detention.

Students have always been subjected to oppression, harassment, and persecution by the Islamic Republic system, and many of them have been arrested, imprisoned, tortured, and some killed or executed since the nationwide protests began. Students who shape the future of a nation are abducted daily by the regime’s forces and transferred to unknown locations without having committed any crime other than demanding their rights. They are accused by the system and subjected to an unknown fate solely for exercising their right to demand justice.

What rights do the people of Iran truly have in their own country and land? They have been deprived of all human rights until now, and how long will these crimes against the Iranian people continue?
