Death Confirmed Two Days After IRGC Denies Clash with People

One of the citizens wounded in yesterday’s shooting by Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps forces in Khuzestan has died.
According to the Abdorrahman Boroumand Foundation, on Thursday, the 15th of Farvardin, “Aboud Jalizi,” a flood-affected farmer from Khuzestan, who was wounded in the clash and shooting by IRGC forces against flood victims in the villages of Jalizi, Segur, and Shakriyeh on the Allahu Akbar route in Dez Azadegan, Khuzestan at dawn on the 14th of Farvardin, died at Appadana Hospital due to the severity of his injuries.
Voice of America had previously reported on this clash, but IRGC officials had denied any confrontation.
Aboud Jalizi was wounded during protests by farmers from villages on the Allahu Akbar route in Dez Azadegan and in clashes with IRGC forces.
In this report, it is stated that after the clash, the IRGC detonated the embankment near the Karun River near the villages of Segur, Jalizi, and Shakriyeh, and hundreds of hectares of agricultural land were flooded.
It is reported that Mr. Jalizi had six children and his only source of income was his farmland.
