Execution of Five Prisoners Carried Out in Various Prisons

Hrana News Agency – In the early morning hours of Wednesday, the 3rd of Khordad and Thursday, the 4th of Khordad, the execution sentences of five prisoners who had previously been convicted of charges related to drugs and murder were carried out in Dastgerd prison in Isfahan, Kerman, and Jiroft.
According to a report by Hrana News Agency, citing Haal-o-Shareh, two prisoners were executed this morning, Thursday, the 4th of Khordad in the year 1402, in Kerman prison.
Their identities were identified as “Qadarbakhsh Dehani, known as Nader Kalbali, 39 years old, son of Nader, married with children, from Zahedan and Abdolrasool Jamshidi, 55 years old, married with children, from Fars Province.”
According to the report, Qadarbakhsh was arrested in 1397 and Abdolrasool in 1399 on charges related to drug trafficking in Kerman and were sentenced to death by judicial authorities.
Additionally, these two prisoners were transferred from the general ward of Kerman prison to solitary cells on Tuesday, the 2nd of Khordad for execution of their sentences.
Execution of One Prisoner in Jiroft Prison
According to Haal-o-Shareh’s report, in the early morning of today, the execution sentence of another prisoner identified as “Mohammad Daraei (Ahmad Golbachcheh), 30 years old, son of Abdolnasser, married with children, from Zahedan,” who had previously been convicted on charges related to drug trafficking, was carried out in Jiroft prison.
This prisoner was arrested in 1398 and had been sentenced to death.
This prisoner was transferred to one of the solitary cells of this prison on Tuesday, the 2nd of Khordad for execution of his sentence.
Execution of Two Prisoners in Dastgerd Prison, Isfahan
According to a report by the Iran Human Rights Organization, in the early morning of Wednesday, the 3rd of Khordad, two prisoners named “Majid Jafari and Ali Tabib” were executed in Dastgerd prison in Isfahan.
In this report, citing an informed source, it stated: “Majid Jafari had been imprisoned for approximately two years on charges related to drug trafficking and Ali Tabib for approximately three years on the charge of murder.”
At the time of preparing this report, the execution of these prisoners had not been announced by domestic Iranian media or official sources.
According to the annual report of the Center for Statistics, Publishing and Works of the Collective of Human Rights Activists in Iran in 2022, 457 reports were recorded, which included the conviction of 92 individuals to execution, including 6 individuals sentenced to public execution, and the execution of 565 individuals. Of this number, 2 executions were carried out publicly. Additionally, 5 individuals who were under 18 years of age at the time of committing the alleged crime, and in legal terminology are called child-offenders, were also among those executed this year.
