Family Unaware of Hossein Hoseinpour’s Status After Contact by IRGC Intelligence Ministry
Hossein Hoseinpour’s family has no information about his status following contact from the IRGC Intelligence Ministry.
His personal pages called on people from Shiraz to gather in front of Khalili Hospital on Sunday, 24 Ordibehesht to demand that the hospital provide a satisfactory explanation for canceling his eye surgery.
On Monday, 25 Ordibehesht, Hossein Hoseinpour announced in a post on his Twitter page that the hospital had contacted him and provided new admission and surgery dates. He stated that the reason for canceling the previous surgery date was due to an urgent eye operation for a child.
However, hours after posting that message, Hossein Hoseinpour announced on his Instagram page that the IRGC Intelligence Ministry had contacted him and summoned him to their center. In his story, he stated that he was heading to the IRGC Intelligence Ministry office in Shiraz, Fars Province.
Since Hossein went to the intelligence ministry, there has been no information available about his status or whereabouts.
Before going to the intelligence ministry, Hossein informed the public of his departure so they would know which center he had been summoned to, in case anything happened to him.
The public has reacted to this IRGC action, expressing their concerns about the safety and life of this protester by using the hashtag “#Where_is_Hossein_Hoseinpour.” They have also declared their solidarity and unity with Hoseinpour’s family.
