Hasan Firouzi to Be Executed After Recovery from Torture Injuries

According to court statements, the death sentence of Hasan Firouzi will be carried out after his condition improves.

Hasan Firouzi is one of those arrested during the protests on November 26th. He was sentenced to death by the court on charges of armed rebellion. When Hasan Firouzi was arrested, his daughter was only 18 days old, a child born after 10 years of waiting.

Unfortunately, Hasan Firouzi’s condition in prison has been extremely severe and his life is in danger. Severe blows inflicted with a chair leg to Hasan Firouzi’s side resulted in the loss of his left kidney. He suffered severe internal bleeding, and although hospital doctors announced that surgery was absolutely necessary, government forces attacked the hospital, transferred him to prison, and left him in solitary confinement in Evin Prison in this condition without any medical care.

Prison officials have informed his family that after his condition improves, his death sentence will be carried out. A recent audio message from Hasan Firouzi circulating on social media is filled with pain and pleas. He wants permission to see his daughter one more time before anything happens to him, as he deeply misses her. Hasan Firouzi says that after 10 years, God blessed them with a child, and he was only able to see his daughter for 18 days.

His family and relatives have called on all international human rights organizations and the United Nations Human Rights Council to take urgent action to stop these crimes in Iran.
