Head of Israeli Military’s Joint Chiefs of Staff: Efforts Against Iran’s Nuclear Program Will Increase

The head of Israeli military’s Joint Chiefs of Staff says his country will continue its measures to eliminate the capabilities of the Islamic Republic.

According to Times of Israel, Avi Kokhavi, head of the Israeli military’s Joint Chiefs of Staff, said on Tuesday, October 3, that operations to destroy Iran’s capabilities anywhere and at any time will continue, and plans against Iran’s nuclear program will be expanded and optimized.

According to Times of Israel, Avi Kokhavi said on Tuesday, October 3: “Operations to eliminate Iran’s capabilities, at any location and any time, will continue.”

He added: “The preparation of operational plans against Iran’s nuclear program and their optimization will also continue.”

Mr. Kokhavi also said: “The Israeli military and intelligence agencies are very aware of what is happening in Iran.”

The head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff made these remarks during an induction ceremony for Aaron Haliva, the new head of Israeli military intelligence.

At this ceremony, Lieutenant General Tamir Haiman, the former head of Israeli military intelligence, called the Islamic Republic of Iran a “tyrannical and totalitarian government that suppresses its citizens” and said that while this government is currently stable, “its end is destined to be overthrow.”

He added: “History has taught us what becomes of such [corrupt] regimes.”

Avi Kokhavi had previously said Israel has “significantly accelerated” preparations for action against Iran’s nuclear program.
