Israel Establishes Website for Iranians to Combat Water Crisis

Israel’s Prime Minister released a video message on social media saying that Israel intends to help the Iranian people combat the water crisis. He announced that a website and a Telegram channel in Persian have been launched for this purpose.

Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday (June 10/Ordibehesht 20) announced the launch of a website and a Telegram channel in Persian to teach Iranians how to deal with the water crisis. In this video, which is in English, the Israeli Prime Minister, after pouring a glass of water and drinking it, addressed the camera saying: “Today I have an unprecedented proposal for Iran that has to do with water.”

He then called the Iranian people “victims of an oppressive and tyrannical regime” that “denies them the water they need.” Netanyahu said: “Israel stands with the people of Iran, and that is why I want to help save the lives of many Iranians.”

Referring to statistics from Iran’s Meteorological Organization, he said that 96 percent of the country’s soil is experiencing varying degrees of drought, and cited remarks by Isa Kalantari, a former agriculture minister, who had said that 50 million Iranians would be forced to abandon their homes due to environmental damage.

In this two-minute and seventeen-second video, Netanyahu says that Israel also faces a water challenge.

According to him, however, the country has created advanced technologies to solve this problem, which can treat and recycle approximately 90 percent of its wastewater “more than any other country in the world.”

Netanyahu emphasized: “Israel has the knowledge necessary to prevent an environmental catastrophe in Iran, and I want to share this knowledge with the people of Iran.”

Expressing regret that Iran does not allow Israelis to travel to its soil, he said: “That is why we must be creative.”

The Israeli Prime Minister then announces the launch of a website in Persian that contains a detailed plan teaching how Iranians can treat and recycle their wastewater.

He said: “We will show how Iranian farmers can save their crops and provide food for their families.”

Netanyahu continues: “The Iranian regime chants ‘Death to Israel,’ while Israel chants ‘Long live the people of Iran.'”

At the end of this video message posted on social media, the address of a website and the address of a Telegram channel are mentioned.

Water crisis in Iran has become a very serious problem in recent decades. Mohammad Baqer Nobakht, the government spokesman, said in Ordibehesht month this year that the cabinet approved the “National Water Group” program to address water stress.

A budget of 1,600 billion tomans is planned for this project, which according to Nobakht, 700 billion will be provided from the resources of the Ministry of Energy and 900 billion tomans will be provided by the Planning and Budget Organization.

Iran has so far not responded to the Israeli Prime Minister’s video message and the country’s action regarding the establishment of a Persian-language website to teach how to deal with water shortage in Iran.
