“Itamar Ben-Gvir” addressed Netanyahu saying: Now is the time to strike the head of the snake in Tehran.
While more than two weeks have passed since Iran’s missile attack on Israel and the world awaits Israel’s response to Iran’s attack, Itamar Ben-Gvir, Israel’s hardline National Security Minister, made a controversial statement saying: “Israel now has an opportunity to cut off the head of the snake by attacking Iran.”
In addition to praising Benjamin Netanyahu in his remarks, he continued: “Benjamin Netanyahu is making efforts for a courageous decision.”
Last year, Ben-Gvir also launched campaigns regarding the complete destruction of the Gaza Strip and cutting off food, communications, and fuel supplies against Gaza residents, which drew widespread criticism. In addition to these campaigns, he defended attacks by Jewish settlers on Palestinians in the West Bank and Jerusalem.
He had also previously stated in remarks that if Tel Aviv stops allowing fuel to be brought into the Gaza Strip, it will succeed in returning Israeli hostages. Ben-Gvir also disclosed that regarding Israel’s war against Gaza, he distributed 170,000 weapons among Israelis over 8 months, done by himself.
The United States and the European Union, due to Ben-Gvir’s incitement of settler attacks and spreading of hatred, warned him and also threatened him with sanctions.
