“Kazem Sedighi”: Participate in Elections as a Token of Gratitude

Kazem Sedighi addressed the people regarding the subject of elections, calling on them to participate in elections as a token of gratitude.

Kazemi Sedighi, the Friday Prayer Leader of Tehran, in his sermon after Friday prayers today, December 1, 1402, while referring to the subject of elections, said: “Today we have a government that loves serving, not thirsting for power. We must participate in elections as a token of gratitude for this blessing. An enthusiastic presence at the ballot boxes will disappoint the child-killers of the world, while a weak presence in the elections will make them more determined in pursuing their sinister goals.”

He also referred to the war in Gaza and, while stating that today’s Islamic issue is the Palestinian issue, added: “The Islamic nation must always, by holding firmly to the rope of God, be able to save Palestine from the usurpers. The late Imam expressed this issue from the beginning of the revolution. The primary cause of these crimes in occupied Palestine is America and other Western countries, including Britain and France. The Western current that for 200 years has only engaged in massacres, coups, and warmongering, causing casualties among the people.

Today the Western current, especially the Zionists, are focused on continuing occupation, but the Zionists have proven helpless against the military and jihadi epic of a group. What is happening in Palestine is not merely land acquisition by a group but a current. Those who dropped atomic bombs on the people of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, or committed genocide against the indigenous people of their own land, today are engaged in extensive support for the usurpation of Palestinian territory.”

Hojjat al-Islam Sedighi added that the presence of Britain, France, and America is embedded in these crimes, with Western rulers at their head, who view Palestine as an opportunity for themselves. During these three months of war, the usurping occupiers have never been so cornered by a small group fighting against them.

The Friday Prayer Leader of Tehran, while referring to the recent operation in which several regime forces were killed, said: “The savage actions of terrorists and takfiris were a bitter incident, and I offer condolences to the Imam of the Time and his representatives, the people, the Basij, and the families of these martyrs. It is expected from the authorities to provide necessary support to the Basij from a military and legal perspective. After 44 years have passed since the Islamic Revolution, no one should dare to look sideways at a security officer, let alone assassinate them within the country.”

In his final remarks, as the elections approach, he spoke of a government that loves serving the people and is not power-hungry, and called on the people to go to the ballot boxes.

The call to the people to participate in elections, as a token of gratitude for a government that serves the people, comes at a time when, over the past year, the Islamic Republic regime has committed many crimes against the Iranian people to remain in power. The recent execution orders issued for approximately two thousand people in Delijan city in Lorestan Province were extremely shocking news that received widespread reactions both inside and outside the country. The publication of the Friday prayer sermon on social networks and news of the recent execution orders prompted the people to declare that they will not provide any support to a government that engages in the daily slaughter of children, adolescents, youth, and innocent Iranian people in general.
