Kurosh Jalil Summoned to Dehdashт Criminal Court
On Monday, 11 Esfand, Kurosh Jalil, a citizen from Yasuj, was summoned to Branch 101 of Dehdashт Criminal Court 2 through a court notice. According to this notice, he is required to appear on 25 Esfand to address the charges filed in this branch. He had previously been summoned to the first branch of the Revolutionary Court in Yasuj on 5 Esfand.
According to Hrana news agency, the news organ of the Human Rights Activists in Iran group, Kurosh Jalil, a citizen from Yasuj, was summoned to the criminal court of Dehdashт through a court notice.
Based on this notice, which was registered in the notification system on 11 Esfand, Kurosh Jalil is required to appear on Monday, 25 Esfand 99, to address the charges of “propaganda against the system,” “insulting the founder of the Islamic Republic,” and “insulting the leader” in Branch 101 of Dehdashт Criminal Court 2.
Previously, Mr. Jalil was also summoned to the first branch of the Revolutionary Court in Yasuj on 5 Esfand 99.
Kurosh Jalil was also summoned through an electronic notice on 11 Bahman 1399 to Branch 2 of the Investigation Division of the Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor’s Office in Yasuj, headed by Judge Ali Boyrahmadi, and he appeared in this branch to give statements.
Kurosh Jalil was arrested on the morning of Tuesday, 9 Dey 99 following a summons to the IRGC Intelligence Organization in this city. Security forces searched his residence hours later, confiscated a number of his personal belongings, and took them away. He was finally released on 11 Dey on a 40 million toman bail bond on a temporary basis and until the end of legal proceedings from Yasuj Prison.
This citizen was transferred on Wednesday, 10 Dey from IRGC Intelligence detention in Yasuj to the Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor’s Office in this city, and after being informed of the charge of “insulting the leader” in the second investigation branch of this court, he was transferred to Yasuj Prison.
Mr. Jalil had previously been summoned through a notice on 19 Ordibehesht to Branch 5 of the Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor’s Office in Yasuj, and on 25 Ordibehesht of this year, after appearing in Branch 5 of the Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor’s Office in Yasuj, he was informed of charges of insulting the leader, insulting Ayatollah Khomeini, and propaganda activities against the system, and was temporarily released on a 70 million toman bail bond until the end of legal proceedings.
Kurosh (Youssef) Jalil has a previous conviction record. Mr. Jalil was also convicted in September 2019 in another case for the charges of “insulting the founder and propaganda against the system through disturbing public opinion” to six months imprisonment and flogging. The sentence issued by this court was suspended for 3 years due to his young age and lack of a criminal record.
