Netherlands Joins Germany’s Plan to Place Revolutionary Guards on EU Terrorist List

The Netherlands has backed Germany’s proposal to place Iran’s Revolutionary Guards on the European Union’s terrorist organization list.

Israeli Foreign Minister Yisrael Katz met with Dutch Foreign Minister Kaspar Veldkamp on Wednesday, July 10, at the NATO summit in Washington D.C. While emphasizing the need to promote strict sanctions against Iran, Katz posted a tweet stating: “The Netherlands will join the initiative to promote the European Union’s decision to designate the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps as a terrorist organization.”

According to reports released last week, the European Union accepted Germany’s request to recognize Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps as a terrorist entity.

Yisrael Katz also discussed China’s growing activities in the Middle East during the NATO summit, particularly regarding its relations with Russia and Iran, especially in the field of information exchange.
