No Information on Status of Khadijeh Mehdi Pour, Kurdish Civil Activist, After Three Months of Detention

The Hengaw Human Rights Organization says that after three months have passed since the arrest of 34-year-old civil activist Khadijeh Mehdi Pour by security forces in Ilam, there is no information about her fate.
The civil activist was arrested on September 9. She was also arrested in September of the previous year due to activity on social media and was released on bail some time later.
The Hengaw Human Rights Organization reported on Monday, January 3, that no information is available about her place of detention and fate, and according to an informed source, over the past three months she has been deprived of the right to visit her family as well as the right to access a lawyer, which has caused concern for her family.
The report adds that Ms. Mehdi Pour was arrested by Ilam security forces without presenting any court documents, and to date no information is available about the reasons for her arrest and the charges brought against her by security agencies.
In recent months, a number of civil activists in western regions of Iran have been arrested by security forces, but no information has been provided about their status, place of detention, and charges against them.
