Official COVID-19 Statistics in Iran; Over 31 Percent Still Unvaccinated

More than 31.2 percent of the population over ten years old in Iran have not yet received the coronavirus vaccine.
Mehr News Agency reported on Tuesday, by publishing tables and charts from the Ministry of Health, about the status of coronavirus vaccination in Iran. The youngest age group that has not yet been vaccinated is the 10 to 14-year-old population with 51.2 percent.
According to the same report, 17.7 percent of men and 16.4 percent of women over 10 years old have not yet been vaccinated.
Meanwhile, according to official statistics, the total number of vaccine doses administered in Iran until Monday, December 13, has reached 111 million, 84 thousand, and 738 doses.
On this basis, so far 58 million, 778 thousand, and 763 people have received the first dose, 49 million, 560 thousand, and 783 people have received the second dose, and 2 million, 745 thousand, and 192 people have received the third dose of the vaccine.
At the same time, official reports indicate the death of 67 people due to coronavirus infection and the identification of 2,784 new patients infected with this virus during the past 24 hours up to Tuesday.
As the Ministry of Health announced, among the newly identified patients, 433 were hospitalized.
With this count, the total number of coronavirus patients in Iran reached 6 million, 160 thousand, and 303 people, and the number of victims reached 130 thousand and 831 people.
Daily coronavirus statistics in Iran are being provided to the media while independent sources have questioned their accuracy, particularly considering the actual number of deaths to be two to three times higher than the official figures.
Currently, no city in Iran is in red condition, 8 cities are in orange condition, 119 cities are in yellow condition, and 321 cities are in blue condition.
