Over 2 Million Uninsured Construction Workers Became Unemployed in the Past 18 Months

The Vice Chair of the Social Commission of Parliament stated in an open session on Wednesday, August 25, that over 2 million seasonal construction workers have become unemployed in the past 18 months. According to Ali Babaei Karnamei, these workers are also deprived of having insurance.

According to Hrana News Agency, citing Asr-e Iran, the Vice Chair of the Social Commission of Parliament reported the unemployment of over 2 million seasonal construction workers without insurance in the past 18 months.

Ali Babaei Karnamei stated in an open session of Parliament dated Wednesday, Shahrivar 3: These workers are even deprived of having insurance.

Babaei Karnamei added: It is necessary for the government, particularly Parliament, to hold a special session to determine the status of these workers and prioritize support for them.
