Sharif University Professors Join Protesters
Following recent protests by Sharif University students, which resulted in a large number of students being detained in the university parking lot, security forces arrested many individuals and transferred them outside the university.
It should be noted that sufficient information about the status of most of them is still not available.
The security forces’ assault on Sharif University had significant international repercussions, with the United States, Britain, France, and Canada condemning it; however, the Sharif University Council issued a statement expressing sympathy for those affected and, considering that preserving the dignity of the university is one of the inviolable principles for the country’s development and progress, announced that on Sunday, October 7 (16 Mehr), members of the faculty of Sharif University of Technology will gather in front of the university’s central library in protest against the violation of the university’s dignity and the events that occurred.
