Triple Death Sentence of Javad Rouhee Overturned

“Majid Kaveh,” the defense attorney of “Javad Rouhee,” announced the overturning of his triple death sentence.

Javad Rouhee, 35, from Amol, following last year’s protests, was convicted in the first branch of the Revolutionary Court of Sari on charges of corruption on earth, disrupting public order, assembly and conspiracy against domestic security, apostasy through burning the Quran, insulting sacred values, and destruction of public property, to three death sentences and other punishments.

Javad Rouhee went to Nowshahr on the night when “Hanane Kia” was shot dead to handle personal affairs and was arrested that same night. Javad, as a sign of protest against the suppression and killing of people by regime forces, proceeded to destroy their property, after which he was charged with destruction of public property. He also subsequently burned the Quran, and due to the aforementioned charges, a triple death sentence and other punishments were issued against him.

Majid Kaveh, Javad Rouhee’s defense attorney, spoke of the lack of conclusive evidence in his case. According to his statements, with the acceptance of an appeal in the ninth branch of the Supreme Court of the country, Javad Rouhee’s triple death sentence and other punishments were overturned, and the case was referred back to the competent branch of the Revolutionary Court of Sari for reconsideration.

The case of the defendants from the Isfahan house, which was full of contradictions and lacked any evidence of their guilt, was ultimately and mercilessly carried out by the Islamic Republic government with death sentences. Now, given the evidence regarding Javad Rouhee’s case and his actions as a sign of protest, for which he was sentenced to three death sentences, will his death sentence be overturned or will it be secretly carried out following the publication of this news?
