US Dollar Price in Iran Reaches Highest Level in 3 Months

Continuing the rise in foreign currency prices in recent days in Iran, on Monday morning the value of each US dollar exceeded 13,000 tomans. This is considered the highest price for the US dollar in Iran’s controlled foreign exchange market over the past three months.

Meanwhile, reports from Iran’s market indicate that the price of gold coins has reached 4 million and 300,000 tomans. The uncertainty regarding the status of two bills related to the Financial Action Task Force in the Expediency Discernment Council and the possibility of Iran’s return to the blacklist of this group have been cited as reasons for renewed turbulence in Iran’s foreign currency and gold markets.

Abdolnasser Hemmati, Governor of Iran’s Central Bank, wrote on his Instagram account on Sunday, acknowledging a relative increase in prices in the foreign exchange market, that the Central Bank will take necessary measures if needed.
