Warning from Army and Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps Regarding Attack on Iran

The Islamic Republic’s Army and Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps, through separate statements, warned about military attack on Iran.

The Islamic Republic’s Army and the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps of the Islamic Revolution, on the anniversary of the liberation of Khorramshahr and following reports of Israel’s attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities, separately issued statements about military attack on Iran.

The Islamic Republic’s Army, on the current day of 4 Khordad (May 24), announced in its statement: “The army forces are ready until the last drop of blood and alongside other armed forces to defend Iran’s territorial integrity, independence, and security. Today we commemorate the anniversary of the liberation of Khorramshahr at a time when enemies of the Islamic system, through various conspiracies and plots, are trying to weaken the sacred system of the Islamic Republic of Iran.”

The Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps also, in a statement issued on the previous day of 3 Khordad, wrote: “The Corps has its finger on the trigger and will give a decisive, regrettable, and beyond-imagination response to any hostile action by the enemy.” The Corps also, while referring to threats from America and Israel, added: “This force’s response to any aggression will be in a way that will change the strategic power equations in Western Asia.”

Hossein Ashteri, security advisor to the Chief of Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces, also on the current day, while referring to negotiations between Iran and America regarding the nuclear program, said: “Stopping enrichment is a red line. They say if you want peaceful energy, we will give it. The biggest mistake would be accepting this offer. They are untrustworthy and endanger our peace and security.”

He, in a gathering of military personnel in Mazandaran Province, while emphasizing what he called “Iran’s deterrent power,” added: “They are concerned that the power of the Islamic Republic has increased in various fields. The armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran have become very powerful; hypersonic radar-evading missiles will pierce the heart of the Zionist regime in less than eight minutes.”

Fereydoun Abbasi, former head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization, also in remarks regarding Iran-America negotiations, said: “If we want negotiations to end in favor of the Iranian nation, the hand of the armed forces must be on the trigger during the negotiation process.”

Iran’s Foreign Minister also, through a letter addressed to the UN Secretary-General, the President of the UN Security Council, and the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, warned and wrote: “Iran will decisively respond to any Israeli adventurism.”

Speculation about the possibility of Israeli military action against Iran intensified when the American CNN news network reported on Israel’s preparation for an attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities.
